Who we are
In the winter of 2007, company founder Tim Koetje, with a diverse background in commercial roofing and architectural metals and owner of Axiom Construction and Consulting, teamed up with Mark Maas, a disciplined roofer with 30 years experience and embarked on the journey of starting a low slope roofing company to compliment the already bustling architectural metals side of the business. The missing piece of their puzzle was someone who could handle the office side of the operation estimating and managing projects. Fast forward to the summer of 2007 when Jeremy Parriera left the roofing company that he was with and needed a job. Tim, Mark and Jeremy had all roofed together for several years at a former company and each knew the other well and all were willing to take the risk.
Taking the leap of faith, Axiom Division 7 was born. The Division 7 part of the company name comes from the standardized construction set of specifications for all commercial buildings, Division 7 is the Roofing, Waterproofing and Insulation section of the specifications, what is better than that for naming your company after? Incorporated in January of 2008, Axiom Division 7’s first commercial project was a $12,000 roof in Auburn. From that point on, we never looked back. Axiom Division 7 regularly executes projects ranging from 1 to 2 million dollars and employs over 70 people!
Where we are going
After 10 years of steady grinding in the business and making the meteoric climb to the top of the industry, Mark Maas, owner and cofounder, decided to turn the reins of the company over to Tim and Jeremy. Always ambitious, Tim and Jeremy have plans to continue the same growth plan established in the winter of 2007 with the hope of some day turning the company over to their children.
