The Village @ Totem Lake

commercial  |  multi family

The Village at Totem Lake in Bellevue, WA, is a mixed-use residential development.

Venture General Contracting was the GC for this project and was responsible for constructing the 7-story Building C that featured three levels of above-grade parking and street-level retail.

Challenge:

The project was under a strict timeline, which meant that the roof had to be installed during the winter season. Venture approached our Kirkland roofing team to build the new roof for this project.

Solution:

Axiom’s immediate priority was to provide the GC with a way to work through the rain, ice, and snow efficiently. They first installed a temporary roof by fastening a substrate board and then torch-applied a vapor barrier.

They decided upon the Carlise PVC roof system that offered the fllowing benefitsEnergy-efficient

  • Superior fire resistance
  • Heat and UV resistance
  • Long-Lasting
  • Easy to repair

This kept the water and snow out and allowed Venture and the roofing team to work at an accelerated pace, despite the inclement weather. Axiom then installed a single-ply roof system.

General Contractor: Venture General Contracting
System Type: Carlise PVC roof system

Results:

Despite the freezing temperatures, rain, and snow—the job went as planned. The team at Axiom successfully installed 56,700 square feet of roofing. Venture General Contracting was delighted with the results, and they completed the project in March 2020.
